The Story Behind Bugsmash
Meet Nabil, a product manager responsible for ensuring flawless delivery across design, development, and testing teams. From Android and iOS developers to web designers, his job was to oversee everything. But giving feedback became a massive challenge.
The Challenge A Messy Feedback Process
Every time he spotted an issue—be it a misaligned button, a bug in the app, or a design inconsistency—Nabil had to take screenshots, annotate them manually, and send feedback via WhatsApp or email. For designers, he had to explain visual tweaks like, "Align the header with the logo." For developers, it was bugs like, "This button isn’t clickable on smaller screens."
Tracking these conversations became a nightmare. Often, tasks got lost in the noise of endless chats and scattered screenshots. There was no centralized place to manage feedback. On top of that, mobile app reviews were especially frustrating because no tool allowed him to provide feedback directly within the app interface.
Nabil realized this wasn’t just his problem—it was a universal one. Product managers, designers, and developers everywhere were facing the same inefficiencies. Frustrated by the constant back-and-forth and the lack of an all-in-one feedback solution, Nabil decided to take matters into his own hands.
That’s how Bugsmash was born
The Solution
Bugsmash was designed to address these pain points. It allows users to give feedback directly on media like images, PDFs, videos, websites, and even apps—no need for endless screenshots or messy chats. With Bugsmash, Nabil and his team could annotate issues visually, centralize feedback, and track tasks effortlessly. It became a game-changer for their workflow, transforming frustration into efficiency.
